Due to holiday plans a friend of mine gave me free tickets to the new Martin Short musical comedy Fame Becomes Me. I didn’t really know what to expect. Short was never my favorite SNL cast member and there was always something about him I found oddly disagreeable. Wow, what a show. Irreverent, rude, and very funny, this is the sort of Broadway show I would have spent money on. Short was great. I stand corrected. One of the highlights was watching the two stuffy older ladies in front of me suffer through the whole thing, as they appeared offended by just about everything in the show.
