TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
This automobile was rented on 10/19/06 from Thrifty car rental (148 W. 83rd Ave, New York City) for a one-day trip, returning to New York that same evening. Car was parked at the intersection of 187th Street and Bennett Ave. at approximately midnight.

On the morning of 10/20/06, at approximately 9am, when leaving to return car, a single citation (no.1________) was visible on the windshield, issued minutes earlier for violation code 115 at 8:55am. No other citations were visible by either myself or passenger. Car was returned and citation was paid online on 11/01/06.

On 12/13/06 I received a letter from Thrifty car rental claiming that an additional citation (no. 1________)) had been issued on 10/20/06 at 1:17am that had not been paid. Thrifty was therefore going to pay the citation and charge my credit card.

As mentioned previously, only ONE citation was visible the morning of 10/20/06. Had there been two I would have certainly paid for both, or at least made an enquiry since I’ve only recently moved here. It should be noted that on this missing ticket the location of the vehicle is listed on you website incompletely as merely “The intersection of Bennett” with no further information while the ticket I paid for clearly states Bennett and 187th.

Without a paper ticket there was no possibility of knowing I’d committed any additional infraction. I certainly wouldn’t have allowed a car rental company to be handling this matter had I been aware there was an issue at the start, and was extremely surprised to hear from them.

Thank you for your time.
