TROPICALIA
What an odd few days of weather we’ve had. While the Northwest washed away and the Midwest froze their asses off it seemed like late September here with highs in the low 70s and humidity has so high that with a little (lot) of poor air quality breathing got downright difficult. I’ve had this weird heavy feeling in my chest that reminds me of sucking in fumes in Bangkok years ago.

Tonight Cara and I were down in the village and people were out in shorts and t-shirts; someone spoke of a tornado warning for the city and a strange sense of portentousness filled the night as clouds raced across sky above the city.

Around 8pm we went to see the play Dark Matters (above photo), it so warm beforehand I had delicious glass of fresh brown sugar lemonade to quench my thirst. Inside the theater however, the air conditioning was so low we bundled up and I joked it was to prepare us for the cold spell that was going to hit on Saturday. While the show plodded on the weather outside dropped at least 15 degrees in two hours so by the time we left to go home all evidence of the tardy Indian summer had vanished like a magic trick.
