THE MODELS OF BETHESDA TERRACE

I’ve seen this sort of thing before in Seattle, photographers with amateur models who you know will never make it in anything that requires them to keep their clothes on. The outfits were atrocious and the women all looked like they’d done their own makeup. Exquisite as the Terrace is in itself, and far more interesting, a huge crowd of tourists nevertheless flocked to this spectacle as if they had the privilege of watching a real “New York City” photo shoot, obviously having no idea what the difference was.
