THE CAT SANCTUARY

One of the strangest things in Rome is the Cat Sanctuary Of Torre Argentina where about 250 cats have been given a home in some of the cities oldest ruins. Quite bizarre really to see these cats living together in a kind of feline utopia, resting among ruins, each with its own established territory as there didn’t seem to be any aggression. A few would come out from the perimeter fence to brush by your leg or give you a curious look, not really venturing to get too friendly.
