THE CART
This guy who runs this coffee cart on 17th and 7th should be a model for how to run a business—or how to run anything. He’s a living syllabus for customer service. Maybe once a week I’ll go there for a breakfast sandwich and a cup cup of coffee, which coming of a cart in itself isn’t bad at all. What’s remarkable is that after one visit, from then on this guy knew my order and how I liked my coffee, putting an actual drop of cream in it instead of dumping an indiscriminate amount. I hadn’t been there for over a week and this morning he asks me where I was last Thursday, which I’m going to trust means I’ve been going there on Thursdays without even realizing it. If someone ever commits a crime against me in public, I want him to be my witness.
