RANDOM HOUSE
I had lunch with an aquaintence of mine who works at Knopf, and waited for her down in the lobby of Random House headquarters on Broadway. One could spend a long long time going through the immense glass cabinets that line the interior, gushing over decades of brilliant books and effervesent cover designs. Though the worker bees housed in the building who trudge by it all each day probably take it for granted, to me it’s something of a hallowed hall and the triumph of King Print.
