CHELSEA
For the next few weeks I’m down in Chelsea working a regular job-like gig thing for Avalon Books, providing production assistance in lieu of a recent Art Department vacancy. All I can say is I've been in a bubble when it comes to commuting, since I usually work late freelancing and sleep in, so anytime I ride the subway it’s pretty vacant by New York standards. I salute all the regular folks who do this every day, starting their mornings packed into cars like livestock on the way to the rendering plant. Sartre said it best: “Hell is other people.”
